REAL FOOD - 

Blueberry Smoothie

 

1 banana
1/2 cup of wild blueberries (frozen)
1 cup of milk (any kind)
1 whole, pitted date
1/4 cup of hydrated walnuts (soak overnight & strain)
1/2 cup of shredded coconut (unsweetened)
1 tablespoon of flax and/or chia seeds
1 tablespoon of cacao nibs (optional)

Blend together until smooth & top with hydrated coconut and seeds. Enjoy!

The ongoing eruption on the Big Island of Hawaii has received national media coverage and generated much excitement and speculation. Human casualties have been successfully avoided as residents have been evacuated from their homes. But the eruptions show no sign of stopping in the short term, and all of the fascinating video footage deserves a bit of scientific background.
